The rain continued off and on today. With the tree cover, it was mostly light. The terrain was a lot of little ups and downs as well. I also passed the 20% of the trail done point today.
As the water source at the shelter was about half a mile down a very steep hill, I opted not to grab water there. Instead, I hiked the 3 miles to the next campsite where there was a spring to fill up.
From there I continued to Iron Mountain Shelter where I took a nice lunch break. I spent probably half an hour just resting before strapping on my pack again and continuing the hike.
Made it to Double Springs Shelter, which was my goal for the day, around 6. There was a hiker from Finland already at the shelter. He initially was planning on tenting, but decided to sleep in the shelter because of the forecasted rain for the evening.
Gravity and Baby Bear showed up for a bit and had dinner, but they were planning on hiking a few more miles so they could get into Damascus tomorrow since they were low on food. They said that Bard and Glimmer were stopping at Iron Mountain Shelter for the night. I guess Glimmers leg is really starting to hurt.
