The rain continued today. I didn't even want to get out of my bag. But I have limited food and limited time to get to the next town.

I did made a bit better milage today. I skipped breakfast when packing up camp due to the rain and made it to the first shelter about 3 miles up the trail. From there I met El Presidente and other hikers while I made breakfast.

I also heard about the Southern Cookie Lady. El Presidente and I leapfrogged each other while hiking and got to the Southern Cookie Lady together and took a nice break. The lady had delicious peanut butter cookies and filtered water.

After a nice break we made the next 3 miles more or less together to get to the shelter for the night. We met up with a bunch of other hikers already at the shelter and more showed up afterwards.

The forecast saw tomorrow should be sunny which will be nice. And I still for another 50 miles to the next town. Hopefully I can make some good miles tomorrow.
