Started off early with the expectations that Bubbles, Slow Burn, and Machete would catch up on the uphills, but they didn't catch up until Deep Gap Shelter.

The main pain of the day was the climb up and over Kelly's Knob. It was about 800 ft of elevation in the span of a mile. I was feeling pretty good until that. Now my calves are hurting again.

Camp was great. Met up with several other hikers I've been hiking near and met some new people. Met another Riley, her trail name is Scooby. Met Cowboy, a second Reboot, Archive, and a couple others that I'm probably forgetting the names of.

After dinner, Scooby pulled out a deck of cards and we played a game called 31.

North Carolina border is only 12.5 miles away. Probably won't make that distance tomorrow, but should be in NC in 2 days.
