Appalachian Trail: Day 5

Hiked over Blood Mountain. The climb was tough, but the view was worth it. Sadly, no photos due to phone still being dead. On the way down, I somehow lost the trail. I talked with a few of the other hikers and some of them about lost it too. It's not well marked and it being a wilderness area, there is a limited amount they can do. I also saw my first snake of the trail. Sadly no picture and can't find what kind it was. I just waited for it to move out of the way.
Made it to Neels Gap where I could finally recharge my devices and left everyone know I am okay. I'm staying in the hostile here for the night. A real bed, a shower, and laundry. Plus an expensive resupply. I was able to get a new water filter. I also got one of the infamous frozen pizzas. It's was just a Red Baron pizza that they cooked for me, but it tasted delicious.
Just waiting on clothes to wash while I hang around in my rain gear and update my blog. So far, everyone has been accepting of me being trans. I've just had to introduce myself with my pronouns since for some reason I pass pretty often normally, but when in an outdoor context, I seem to be read as a guy.
Also, it's my name day. I've officially been Riley for a year now.
